Peta Hackel Received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1991. Her primary clinical interest was in late adolescence and she worked with college students at Tufts and at Harvard University where she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship. She also spent one year at the Victims of Violence program, Cambridge Hospital. Along with Michael Johnson, she integrated brain development theory and the role of practice in teaching martial arts at their training center in Switzerland, where she teaches Wah Lum Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Chi Kung.
Michael Johnson Received a B.Sc. in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College in 1983. He was employed by Freedom from Chemical Dependency Educational Services (FCD) for a number of years performing Drug and Alcohol evaluations with adolescents, and ran Drug and Alcohol Abstinence support groups for teenagers. Since 1976 he has been involved in the study and teaching of classical Chinese martial arts (Kung Fu and T’ai Chi) and meditation. Along with Peta Hackel, he now teaches individuals and groups at the training center they share in Switzerland.
